Zonic Zynth – Synth lover

That feeling of walking into the ocean for the first time.

The first fizz of water at your ankles is delicious, shocking and transparent. The hug of a body spasm.

You wade further so you’re not letting it in, it’s letting you in, submerging your entire self. The temperature accommodates you.

The water soon ceases to be shallow, a slope, sand dissolving at your feet.

You walk further until nothing of you can be seen.

A wonderful immersion into the 80’s, melding r and b percussion, art of noise splashes of colour, synth pads flowing, like an action film score meandering through the scenes of a romance comedy film.

Clambering samples of the decade together, no real hook just a culmination of groove work outs inspired by early 80’s hip hop, Luther-Vandros-soulful-warmth, retro synth excursions. EQed, compressed and shaped into a sumptuous sound-design mix. Filtered and saturated at all the right moments with an extensive collection of vintage analogue synthesiser waveforms melding to the low-key drum hits. A host of classic rhythm boxes and keyboards working to fuse elements of nu-disco and soulful retrowave. Glittery melodics, soulful instrumentation chops and lush keyboard licks primed for late-night sleepy disco.
