San Diego based Street Cleaner is back with an enormous vengeance in “Annihilation” – what may well be one of the best darksynth releases of the summer, if not the year!
Rocketing to the top of the bandcamp charts with a Monday night release, “Annihilation” tries hard to bend and break darksynth genre tropes, refusing to “…reuse patterns that had proven successful in the past.” This approach has paid off – creating an album that feels accessible while providing an excellent atmosphere in addition to the hard hitting dance floor destroyers we’ve come to expect from Street Cleaner.
