As one of Retrowave’s most consistent names since the start of the decade, Austrian supergroup Shades of Thunder is a project that has lost the need for an introduction. Restless and supercharged, Powernerd & Edictum are carrying on their victory lap with a new banger. ‘Never Again’ is a dreamy 80s’ inspired Synthpop tune featuring Ancient Fragments’ Pipi Gogerl on vocals. As always, the thunderous duo have held true to their top-notch production standards, delivering a luscious, vibrant track to bask your senses in. It looks like the Viennese boys are well on their way to outdoing themselves on their next record.
