The German italo disco synth king Peter Zimmermann dropped the deliciously authentic retro “Through the Night (Part 1)” way back in early December, and quickly jumped to the top of our honorable mentions when it came time for our Top Ten Albums of 2019.
Using old school production and mixing and mastering techniques, “Through the Night (Part 1)” continues the legacy of authenticity Peter Zimmermann began with “Ein Nacht Mit Peter Zimmermann (Part1)” and “Ryse of the Shrymps” in a delicious way.
In addition to the authentic synth feel, Peter Zimmermann also again seamlessly merges italo and synthwave into a new delicious retro form, giving us more of his signature clean 1979 sound without repeating his old tracks.
