A brand new collectors edition just dropped over on the NRW bandcamp page – a much-needed release as the original pressings are currently going for nearly $100 on Discogs! According to the Bandcamp page, the “Sophie Teenage Deam” collector’s edition will feature two “180-gram SEXY Pink with White and purple Swirl vinyls” – limited to 200 copies.
The France-based synthwave wizard Morgan Willis dropped the original “Sophie Teenage Dream” way back in 2017 as a digital self-release. Then, after growing attention from fans, Morgan Willis went through two rounds of successful Qrates crowdfunding to get it pressed on vinyl.
All this attention makes perfect sense when you realize this album is an absolute instant classic! “Sophie Teenage Dream” is a pensive, uplifting mix of immaculately produced synthwave and dreamwave that perfectly encapsulates the lush and reminiscent 80s retro synthwave sound.
