The German king of authentic italo disco, Peter Zimmermann, has just released a white-hot seven-inch vinyl feautring two of his all-time best tracks, ‘ Luv Like Fire (Luv in 1979 Version ft. OsCar)’ and ‘Ranz statt Glanz (ft. Lady Diamond)!’ This is hands down not a release you want to miss. Zimmermann’s combination of italo disco and synthwave is simply exquisite.
This limited 7″ comes on the heels of “Nu-Romantic (Part I&II)’s” release, likely the best updates to Zimmermann’s fantastically authentic-sounding retro synth catalog since “Ryse of the Shrimps” was released in 2017.
We started covering Peter Zimmermann back in 2016 following his breakout hit “Eine Nacht Mit Peter Zimmermann.” Very few other artists in the scene retain this ultra-authentic retro sound, owing mostly to Zimmermann’s retro production techniques.
